# Current Aspects

Use the full Current aspects window (formerly Aspect Analysis) to inspect the chart's aspects in more detail than the Current aspects tile can show: an aspect grid, every aspect in force, antiscia, parallels of declination and cusp aspects.

The Current aspects window (formerly Aspect Analysis) reads the active Astro Clock chart, so load a saved chart first to inspect an earlier one.

## When To Use It

Open the full window when you want to:

- see more than the strongest few aspects
- filter by planet, aspect or phase (applying or separating)
- read the aspect grid at a glance
- check antiscia, contra-antiscia and parallels of declination
- inspect aspects to the house cusps alongside the planetary aspects

The window reads the active Astro Clock chart. To analyse a saved chart, load it in Astro Clock first.

## How To Open It

In Astro Clock, click **More** at the bottom of the **Current aspects** tile.

The tile and the window share two settings:

- **Aspect orbs**: **Lilly** (half of each planet's orb added together, the default), **Morin** (Morin's semidiameters) or **Modern** (fixed orbs: 8° for the conjunction, square, trine and opposition, 6° for the sextile)
- **Morin mode**, the checkbox in the tile, which switches to Morin's latitude-corrected aspects, antiscia by declination and his configurations

Legend

- Close button (or press Escape)

- **Planet** and **Aspect** filters

- **Any**, **Applying** or **Separating**

- Section toggles: **Planetary**, **Antiscia & parallels**, **Cusps**

- The orb policy in use

- **Planetary aspects**, with the aspect grid on the left

- Orb, allowed orb, phase and the time of exactness

- Notes such as reception, mutual reception or partile

## Main Controls

- **Planet** limits the list to aspects involving one planet.
- **Aspect** limits it to one aspect type.
- **Any**, **Applying** and **Separating** filter by phase.
- **Planetary**, **Antiscia & parallels** and **Cusps** turn each section on or off.
- Click a cell in the aspect grid to show only that pair; a button lets you clear the pair filter.

## What The Sections Show

### Planetary Aspects

The first section shows every aspect in force under the chosen orbs, with a short note on how those orbs are counted.

- The grid shows each pair's aspect, its orb and an arrow for applying or separating.
- The list puts the tightest aspects first. Each row shows the two bodies and the aspect, the orb and the allowed orb (for example `orb 0°32′ of 7°15′`), applying or separating, when it was or will be exact, and an exactness bar with a percentage.
- Notes under a row flag reception, mutual reception, partile contacts or an aspect that changes sign first.

In **Morin mode** this section becomes **Morin aspects**, latitude-corrected with Morin's orbs.

### Antiscia And Parallels

- **Antiscia** mirror a degree across the Cancer-Capricorn axis, and contra-antiscia across Aries-Libra, with a 1° orb.
- **Parallels of declination** are a later technique, listed with a 1° orb.

In **Morin mode** this becomes **Antiscia / Contra-antiscia (Morin)** by equal declination, followed by Morin's combustion, translation, besiegement, doryphory, collection, frustration and mediation.

### Cusp Aspects

With **Cusps** on, the window lists aspects to the house cusps within 1°, with their phase and notes such as dexter or sinister and partile.

## Practical Workflow

- Load the chart you want in Astro Clock, or stay in Realtime.
- Choose **Lilly**, **Morin** or **Modern** orbs in the Current aspects tile.
- Click **More** to open the full window.
- Filter by planet, aspect or phase, or click a grid cell.
- Turn on **Antiscia & parallels** or **Cusps** for the wider picture.
- Close the window, or press Escape, to return to Astro Clock.

## Notes

- The window doesn't save a chart. Use **Save chart** in Astro Clock for that.
- It always reads the active Astro Clock chart.
- Loading a saved chart first is the easiest way to analyse an earlier chart instead of the live one.
